This Christmas, we are proud to support Shop & Drop, a charity that works with food banks across London. We are especially drawn to support them because they collaborate with our local food bank, right in the heart of Notting Hill—our very own neighbourhood. It breaks our hearts to know that there are people so close to home who do not have even the most basic essentials to live on. Whilst we cannot change the sad fact that food banks exist, we can try to help make a difference, right here in our community.

Shop & Drop determine the necessary quantities of essential items most urgently needed at the food banks they work with. They shop for these items—and then drop them off. Their mission is to help end the hunger experienced by too many people who lack weekly essentials.

Shop & Drop operates like a well-oiled machine. Their hands-on approach and trusted relationships with food bank staff ensure that their work truly meets the specific needs of each community. For fairness, every package given to customers contains the same basic items—something that cannot be achieved with random supermarket donations. In addition to non-perishable items, Shop & Drop also delivers fresh food and toiletries.

What they urgently need, however, are donations. We will be raising money at our Christmas Shopping Evening on Wednesday, 26th November, and throughout the Christmas shopping period. You can find QR codes at our checkouts in-store or click below to donate!
