Toile De Chine
Amsterdam-based Roos Brancovich, is the talented artist behind Toile de Chine, (Aptly named we think! Toile de chine was the first fabric imported from the far east in indigo dye).
Roos has a love and dedication towards working with denim and indigo dyes. Starting out in fashion and denim design, Roos is now dabbling in a whole array of indigo works from over-dying clothes to patchworking denim. We are particularly fascinated with the cyanotype prints the Roos creates.
Printed on cotton paper from India, Roos has made the most stunning botanic creations. Each cyanotype is different, a technique where the artist positions real flowers and plants on paper to make striking indigo impressions. A captured moment in dye, truly each one is unique and special.
