The Cross has always adored a basket: the handwoven jutes of Madagascar, multicoloured Milagros baskets from Mexico, the patterned rattans of Bali, intricately embroidered and embellished styles from Morocco to name but a few. Mostly, all our baskets are handcrafted by artisanal weavers producing the most beautiful pieces that can take days to make. The versatility of a basket from homeware to beaching to the market has made it a Cross favourite.

Naturally, when we discovered Dragon Diffusion, we fell in love. Dragon take the staple basket and transform it into a world of luxury using the most sumptuous vegetable dyed leather. Using basketry techniques from all over the world, all bags are made by hand by skilled weavers, a process that can take days to do just one bag.
