Lucy Temple Exhibition
If you've popped into the Cross in the last couple of years you may have noticed some very beautiful artworks... Much admired and often complimented, our two pieces by local artist Lucy Temple embellish the walls and bring in a large dose of colour.
Our connection with Lucy is deep rooted. Sam and Lucy are friends from their childhood and Sam has always had a huge admiration for her work. We are, of course neighbours with The Temple Gallery too, a family owned icon gallery. Excitingly, this month Lucy Temple is having an exhibition there.
Lucy was taught by Keith Critchlow at the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts where she completed her MA.She specialises in patterns mostly from ancient geometric Islamic design, bringing to them her unique sense of colour. The series in this exhibition was painted throughout lockdown up until April this year.
